Easter!

We had a really nice Easter this year. We were up at my parents house this year, and the Easter bunny found us there! the kids baskets!!

We then headed to church...it was a great meeting and afternoon!

Then we headed over to my aunt Sarah's for a delicious dinner! This is Rachel and her great grandpa Callaway!

Tyler then got to go hunt for eggs...he got the hang of it! Even started collecting the croquet balls!

It was a great day...I am so grateful for the Easter season and the opportunity we have to reflect on the Atonement of Christ. I know that he suffered for me individually, and that it is through his resurrection that I can return to be with him and my Heavenly Father...I am eternally grateful for this knowledge, and pray that I might live my life more like him.

Conf. weekend and Cabin...

For conference weekend we went up to my sisters in Manteca to watch conference and spend some time with the family. My parents and Aubrey came down as well, it was my Birthday on Sunday, so it was fun to spend it with lots of family!

The next weekend we headed up to the cabin for some time out of the city... and into the snow! I love to visit the snow! Tyler had a good time stealing everyone's electronics...(he's obsessed! and it's something I really work on cause it's so annoying!) It was a great weekend of family and fun!

The Joke!

Although Tyler is pretty good with Rach...there are times when I have to "baby proof the baby!" She has a few spots where she goes when I need to get stuff done... on the table...

on the bed...

There are a couple of other spots...but, it has become my joke that there times when I have to "baby proof the baby" from the baby! :)

We really need backyard...or at least it would be nice! Ty loves to play outside...so the little patio it is, for now! :)

3 Months!

Rachel is now 3 months! She is growing and doing well! She is really starting to give lots of smiles! She's a lot of fun... Tyler is really good (most of the time) with her! I have to record this... a few things, yesterday we were at baby playgroup (I know, our ward has enough first time moms to have a baby playgroup! Awesome!) we were packing up to leave, I had Rach in her seat and I was gathering up all of our stuff. Rach started to fuss, and I look over there and Ty had her binkie in his hand and was trying to give it to her...so cute! Also, last night I was giving baths before bed. I had Rach in her bumbo seat while I finished Ty and got his PJ's on. i was putting stuff away, and I hear Ty in the bathroom with her...so i walk around the corner and he's sitting right in front of her, hands on the bumbo seat, hunched over, and jabbering in a really high pitched voice (higher than normal)! It was so cute...I thought he had done that a couple other times, mimicking me...but that just confirmed it! LOVE it! He just picks up on everything! These are the moments that make my day! Love these kids!

The last several weeks have been long ones here in our home! Ty got something similar to HF&M disease! Some virus that comes out in rash form...ya, awesome! He got it really bad, which made us housebound! But, since it's gone and he's better...I can now share this...the poor kid! It was just nasty!

Visit from Grandma and Some Favs!

The beginning of the month Steve's mom came to visit and to meet little Rachel. We had a nice visit and got to do some fun things! We went to Monterey and did the 17 mile drive! It was an absolute beautiful day...and the coast was amazing! We had never done that before, it was beautiful!

Tyler was so pooped by the end of the day, (we did a lot of driving which equals not very good naps!) he just crashed on Grandma!

My sister's family got a little yellow lab puppy for Christmas...(makes us miss Abbey!) But, Ty loves dogs and I just love this picture of my boys!

2 Months and Blessing!

So, I have to start this off with saying that as I was typing in the title for this post, that title came up in the window below because...oh yes, a year ago I posted the same thing for Ty! Their blessings were a year apart! :) Pretty funny! Anyhow, Miss Rachel had her 2 month check-up! I can't believe she's 2 months already! She had to get her shots...she didn't even cry for the first one, and only cried for a second with the last two...Ty cried more than she did in concern for her! It was pretty cute!

Stats:

Height: 21 1/2 inches (20th %)

Weight: 8lbs. 7oz. (5th %)

Head: 37 cent. (10th %)

Ty was 8lbs 7oz at 2 weeks while Rach is that at 2 months! Crazy how different they have been! We love you Rachel and are so grateful for the healthy little body you have been blessed with!

My Little Boy!

I was looking at my old posts tonight and realized that I hadn't posted about Tyler's 1st birthday! We had a lot of fun celebrating...he got three little parties, which meant that he got to eat cake 3 times! He was a happy boy! As I sit here in tears...I can't believe he is now 14 months! Where did the time go? I just love him SO much and I am so grateful for him and for the opportunity that I have to be his mom! He brings so much joy to my life that I didn't know I was missing! He is such a good boy, and through these past 8 weeks has been so patient with everything! At times I feel so bad that he doesn't get my undivided attention as most kids in his position do...but we seem to get through it and have fun playing and laughing together when we aren't eating, feeding baby, or sleeping! I love you Tyler! Thank you for loving me and for being my little boy!
