The last Month...

The past month has been wonderful and crazy all in one! The transition from one kid to two has been pretty good considering I wasn't quite ready for it when it happened! But with MUCH assistance from my Mom, Dad, Steve, and sisters...Tyler has been fed, made it into his bed, been held and loved on, and even managed to have his diaper changed! :) I honestly couldn't have done it without all of the help over the past 5 weeks! I am so grateful for good family and friends and mostly for my husband and kids! I love them all!

This little girl just really wanted to be here! She is our little Surprise, coming 5 weeks early!

Just for documentation, last Friday morning I just wasn't feeling so well, my back was cramping ( I had really bad back labor with Tyler) I got in the shower then gave Tyler a bath, the whole time feeling like something was wrong. Trying to lean over the tub, then would jump up walk around in pain and totally confused. Got Ty dressed, meanwhile on and off the phone with my mom asking questions, and again not knowing what was happening! She wound up calling Steve and sending my sister to come and help and just let me relax. Steve came home and I finally decided that we would go to the hospital. While on the way there my water broke, the contractions (I didn't realize I was having at the time, now I laugh) stopped and I knew that we were having this baby that day! We got checked in, and found out I was dilated to 5cm and I thought she is going to fly out of there, until... she said that she couldn't tell what was showing and come to find out the baby was sideways, and we wouldn't be doing this the way I had planned on! I had to have a c-section, but the baby is healthy and doing well! We got to come home yesterday and we are adjusting to life with 2 kids! The hardest part for me is that Tyler is still very dependent on me and he doesn't understand why I can't lift him! And mentally i hadn't reached the point with him that we would have a sister! The night before she came, my good little sleeper (Tyler) woke up in the middle of the night and would not go back down, being that he had been sick, I went and held him on the couch that night...it's almost like he knew what was coming and needed that! We are all doing well, after that roller coaster of a week we are so happy that she is here and healthy! I just love my kids and Steve so much and I am so grateful for the blessing that they are to me!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!

Well...the time has come!! My baby is 1! That year really did just go so fast! Tyler is so much fun! He changes every day, and discovers something new to do or "say"... He is obsessed with wheels! Anything that has a wheel on it, he will spot it, get to it, and try to spin the wheel or push it! He loves to explore and get into new things! He is getting brave and will let go of objects and take a few steps to something else, but not walking yet! I can't decide if it's a good or bad thing...being that I am in the last 6 weeks of this pregnancy! Not really sure what would be easier, the beginning wobbly stages of walking or just continue to crawl! We love him so much and look forward to this next year and all of the changes and growth that is to come!

Halloween 2011

We had a great Halloween this year! It was fun to have a little one to enjoy the Halloween traditions with! Ty and I went to Bishop's Pumpkin Patch!!

...Could you spend the day at lake on October 22nd! We were up visiting and spent the afternoon at the lake, it was such a beautiful day! Steve went wakeboarding... and swimming! Ty even joined in!

He loved the boat ride! As did I! Being pregnant for the 2nd summer in a row...I haven't been able to wake board or do much! But, the boat ride was so much fun!

The Past Several Months...

There has been a lot of change in our household the past several months! Ty is changing so much everyday...It has been so much fun to watch him learn and discover new and exciting things! The month of August through September was a month of huge growth for Ty. He went from crawling, to pulling up, to walking along everything... and he is quick! Looking back on these past several months, it makes me so happy that I get to stay home with him and experience everything for the first time with him! (although dad got the first official crawling!) I am so grateful for Tyler and all the happiness he brings to us! He will only be my baby for about 2 1/2 more months, but I look forward to all of the changes and challenges that are to come!

It has been so fun watching him start to really "play" by himself or with other friends! He's getting to be such a little boy!

Labor Day 2011

Over Labor Day Weekend we headed up to Fort Bragg with some family and friends and camped out for the weekend! We had a lot of fun just relaxing!

Living in San Jose we are only a half hour from Santa Cruz...so we got to go camping over there a couple times this summer! This trip we went with some friends...it was a little rainy, but nice to get out!

While we were at the beach house...Aunt Aubrey watched Ty so that Steve and I could go to the Price is Right with some of the 18 and ups! Although it wasn't my turn to come on down, my Aunt did! Beach House 2011!

In August we got to spend a week at the Beach House in Ventura, CA for a Callaway family reunion. We had a lot of fun playing in the water, in the sand, playing games, and just spending time with family. It was really nice to get Steve away from work and spend some time with him!

In July we went camping with the Schmidt family in Santa Cruz! It was a lot of fun, and Ty just loved the beach and would do what he could to get into the sand!

YES! You saw that right! I have a nine month old, and we've got another one on the way!! A little girl in fact! We are really excited and can't wait for Ty to have a little buddy! I am so happy to know that I get one of each atleast! Too bad all the clothes we have need to be put in bins and not in the drawer to be used in 4 months! ;) She will be coming sometime around January 19th! I am 22 weeks as of today!

Summer 2011...

This summer has come and gone so fast! We have had a great summer visiting family and going on little trips when we could fit them in! We love Summer time and all of the outdoor time that comes with this great season! I am really far behind on the blogging, so this will take a few posts, so you will be able to see the growth and changes in the little man!

Memorial Day weekend we went camping at Pinecrest Lake with my sister and her family! It was quite the experience! We had everything from rain, snow, hail, and sunshine (for a minute)! It was a gorgeous lake and we would love to go back when we don't have to bundle up so much! Regardless, Ty loved his first camping experience and did pretty good for the little 6 month old he was!

Ty's Weekend of Firsts...

This past weekend we spent as a family and Tyler experienced a few things for the first time! On Friday night, we all went to the Giants vs. Braves game! Ty's first game!

He did so good! Just hung out, slept, and kept mom warm!

On Saturday went outside with Dad and had his first longboarding experience!

And...loved it!

And Sunday was his first Easter! It was such a nice day! He was loving the basket!

The Last 4 Months...

The last 4 months have gone by so fast! So much has happened in the last little while and I haven't had time to update, I say a little while because it all began before Ty even came...

Steve got a job in San Jose, CA last September, and moved down here to start. I moved in with my parents while I worked and waited for our little man to come! It was definitely not the ideal situation when your waiting for your first child to come living apart, but everything worked out great. Here are some newborn pics that i loved and realized i didn't post...

One weekend we went for a drive...trying to explore our new area...and ran into snow...

It totally threw us off...snow in the bay area...? It was pretty though! It was like the next weekend we went to San Francisco and it was 70 degrees and beautiful!

This kid is long and skinny...definitely not built like his mom!

Although it has taken some time, we are warming up to the area. Before I had Ty, we came down together so I could move our stuff in...as we were pulling up I said to Steve..."Ahh man, I never thought I would live in the bay area!" and he replied "are you kidding! I never thought I would live in California!" Haha!

2 Months and Blessing

Yes, Tyler is almost 3 months (next week) but I am just getting around to posting these pictures... So here is his 2 month picture...(yes, stole the idea from many others that have done it!)

Tyler's Measurements:

Weight: 10 pounds 11 ounces- 25th percentile

Length: 24.25 inches-90th percentile

Head circumference: I don't remember the measurement and I don't have the paper with me, but he was in the 50th percentile!)
Tyler was blessed on Feb. 6, 2011 by Steve. It was such a sweet blessing.
We didn't get any pictures at the church building; but, we got some back at our apartment. Here are some of the men that were in the circle. Tyler's....Great Uncle Mark, Great Grandpa Callaway, Uncle Derek, Daddy, Uncle Allen, Papa Schmidt, Uncle Justin, and Great Papa Schmidt. His Great Uncles John and Blain also came but needed to get back to their families. We are so grateful to everyone that came to support us, it was such a great day!

This is for Uncle Trevor, who is now Elder Schmidt! Trev reported to the MTC the Wed. before we blessed Ty. But we are so grateful for him and his example to Tyler and his other nephews. He's a great kid, and will be a great missionary! He is serving in the New Mexico, Farmington Mission. We love you Trev!

Tyler's First Month

Tyler is now almost 6 weeks old. I can't believe how fast time has gone already! Here are some pictures of Tyler's first month.

Stretching out.. When Tyler was born, he came out and just stretched out. He still loves to lock his legs straight and stretch his arms out, he's so funny.

Christmas Eve...we went with my family ice skating... Steve was going to take Tyler on the ice...but...nana thought it was a little much for the 3 weeker! ;)

It was such a special Christmas with our new addition. Having Tyler so close to Christmas, really gave me the opportunity to ponder on the birth of our Savior,and made me even more grateful for the events that took place that night.

...Tyler Stephen Ross...

Tyler was born on November 30, 2010 at 4:32 AM!!! He weighed in at 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long!!! All ten fingers and all ten toes!!! Mommy and Baby are healthy and doing well!!!

First, No baby yet! Today was the due date...but ya know! I guess he's not ready yet! ;)

Last month my sisters put on a baby shower for me! It was so much fun! It was a great day, and it was a lot of fun seeing so many friends and family.

The diaper cake my Grandma Callaway made. It was so cute, I loved it!

I got so many great things that were very much needed! Thank you to everyone that could make it to the shower and for all of the wonderful gifts.

It was so much fun getting all of the little things that I need for this little guy! We are so excited for him to come...hopefully it won't be much longer!

We packed up the truck and trailer...With a lot of work from Steve and the bro. in law Justin...this is the set up we took to Utah. We headed out to Utah for the Walter and Mary Ogden Family reunion. It was such a blast!

So Much Has Happened...

There has been so much going on in our lives lately...But first, we have exciting news...

We are going to have a BABY!!!!

We are so excited for our little one to come, our due date is Nov. 22nd! I am 22 weeks along, and I have been feeling pretty good! We are past the half way mark...YAY!!

First Lake Trip

One of my favorite things to do growing up was going to the Lake w/ the family! And...welll...some things don't change! And luckily Steve loves the water sports too!! This past weekend was my sister's birthday, so we headed out to the lake for the day!

We headed up the south fork where the American River runs into Folsom Lake. Steve and Trevor decided to jump off of the Salmon Falls Bridge!

Cabin Trip!

In January we took a trip to the cabin with some friends! It was a fun weekend, despite the traffic we experienced on the way up there!! I had only heard of the nightmares of traffic on the Donner pass...and this weekend with a bad storm, we experienced "the traffic on the pass." It took us over 4 hours to complete what should have been a 45 min. drive! People were walking along the highway, building snowmen on the center divides, and we even saw a man full on asleep at the wheel, unfortunately when traffic started to move. I think it was the semi's horn that woke him! Anyhow, we had a great time with some friends!

Merry Christmas and More!

The past few months have gone by so fast!! Here is a quick update of what's been happening in our lives...

The beginning of October we celebrated Steve's 26th Birthday!!

We also got to take a trip with all of Steve's Siblings to visit their Grandma Ross in Reno. It was such a nice visit and we are so grateful for the opportunity to have spent that time with her together as she passed away a month later. She was such a great lady, with a great spirit! She was full of love, and we will miss her greatly but will always remeber the example she was to us.

Happy Halloween! We had some friends over to carve punmkins in the garage!!

Steve loves to build and make things! He's on a new kick...making longboards. I am not sure if he just really wanted one, or if he was more interested in the building of one at the beginning...? Anyhow, he has loved doing it, and is actually pretty good at it ( both building and actuallly riding the board).

He helped our friend Eric build one. These are boards 3 and 4. They turned out really well.

We had such a great Christmas! Being in a house this year, it was the first time we got to put up lights, and get a real Christmas Tree!!

Hello!!

We have been pretty busy lately! With both of us working, Steve as the 11 year old scout leader, and coaching a youth soccer team together. Our lives have been continuously on the go the past several months. But we are enjoying life and still manage to find some time to have fun!!

A weekend in August we took a day trip over to the beach! On our way, we went to see the Oakland Temple.

We then made our way over to Half Moon Bay!

Then we found this other beach, it was a little cove beach. It was really pretty!! Steve went skim boarding...for a little bit, til we lost the board to the ocean!!

We went with my family to the Demolition Derby at the State Fair!! Always some good entertainment!! :)

Last weekend we had a BBQ out at Folsom Lake with a group of friends! It was such a nice night! We had a good time, eating our tin foil dinners and making smores!!!

After Havasupai, we went to Lake Powell!! We met up with most of the Schmidt Family for a week of fun on the Lake!!!

The Moon was so beautiful, while we were there! One night we were on the back deck, and this is what we had to look at!! Awesome!!

For our vacation this year, we went to Havasupai!! We had such a great time! There was a group of 17 of us that backpacked the 10 miles in!! It was beautiful down there in the canyon!! Sorry for so many pictures, but hope you enjoy them as much as we did!!

On the 4 th of July Weekend we made a trip up to Idaho to visit Steve's Mom and some of our Friends. It was so nice to see everyone, and see the beautiful Green fields of Idaho again!!

The last couple of weekends we have been able to get out and visit with family and Friends.
On Memorial Day Weekend, we went up to the Cabin. We started out by trying to go to some lakes to go fishing, but couldn't get to them because there was too much snow. So went to another one we found.

We also went over to Lake Tahoe.

And then to Emerald Bay.

Last Weekend we went to Utah, to visit Steve's Family. We had a great time getting together. All Of his siblings, their spouses, and kids were there!

OK...So It's NOT Christmas Anymore...!

Ok. So It's only taken us 5 months to do something to this!! But A lot has gone on in those 5 months. We have moved to California, and are currently living in Rocklin. Steve has been working for Roebbelen Contracting and has really enjoyed the people and the company. He is currently applying for the CHP (California Highway Patrol). He's excited...Ashley...Not so much! :P But we will see what happens. The application process can take several months! Ashley has been working for an insurance company, and has learned a lot about the insurance field.

With moving came some new purchases...

A new rig...

The 84 BMW! It was time to give in and purchase another vehicle. So we went with the cheapest form of transportation we'll ever buy!!

Then, it was time to upgrade to a new bed. 2+ years on the full bed...

And a washer and dryer!!!

All in all, we are doing well! Looking forward to the Summer and to visit our Family and Friends that we have left and live far from!!

With Steve's graduation came new adventures for us!! The day after his graduation we packed up and moved to Northern California where Steve got his last internship! We are excited to be here and to start a new phase in our lives, but are so sad to leave Rexburg and all the memories we have had there over the last several years!!

This semester we wanted to enjoy our last opportunity to play competitive sports, so Steve was on a baseball team and I was on a soccer team! We had so much fun playing up here at school and it is something that we will really miss!!!!!!

In July I graduated from BYU-Idaho. My family came up from California for the fun!
